Position Summary

 

Quality Assurance and the Nestlé Purina Analytical Laboratories department is comprised of talented individuals who possess a genuine love for pets and their families. As a Senior Quality Technician on the Proximate Team at the Nestlé Purina Analytical Laboratories (NPAL), you will perform and document routine tasks related to sample processing and assays using written operating procedures, standard laboratory methods, and/or basic laboratory techniques, functions, and equipment.

 

• Conduct routine procedures for protein, fiber, ash, fat, pH, and moisture testing
• Prepare all reagents and standards as needed while keeping required documentation in a GLP & ISO laboratory
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting procedures as outlined in operating procedures and instrument control plans
• Coordinate and plan assigned work with other technicians and scientists with one team mentality
• Prepare and distribute customer-submitted materials for analysis, ensuring accuracy, and quality
• Assist, train, and mentor lower-level employees within the job area

 

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of professional work experience including at least 1+ years of laboratory related experience

 

Other

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or a related field is preferred
• 1+ years of experience with operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation including balances, pH meters, dishwashers, autoclaves, and/or ovens is preferred
• Must be willing to work Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM
