Position Title: Advanced Practice Provider – Sports Medicine
Part Time: Minimum of 24 hours per week, clinic only position

Summary
This position will partner with Dr. Haber and his current APP with all Sports Medicine injuries, focus primarily on knee and shoulder. This will be a clinic primary position 3 days per week at our Orchard location in Westminster with the possibility of occasional operating room coverage. The right person for this role will be a true partner with the physician and will be open and willing to learn techniques, styles, and preferences that benefit the physician team.
The position is responsible for providing care within the clinical setting for Sports Medicine patients treated by Panorama Orthopedics. This role will primarily be 3 days during the week Monday through Friday and occasional call coverage for phone calls will be required (a nominal stipend is offered).
Essential Functions
· Evaluates changes in patient conditions.
· Issues orders for medications, treatments, and lab tests.
· Writes clinical notes, fills out consents and completes prescriptions all within a timely manner.
· Documents all patient care actions in the EMR timely and accurately.

Education, Licensure and/or Experience Required
· Active Physician Assistant’s license in the State of Colorado Required
· Active DEA license to prescribe.
· 2 years of previous Orthopedic experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
· Well-developed clinical skills.
· Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to synthesize data to determine medical treatment plans.
· Ability to maintain sterile technique and strong suturing skills.
· Attention to detail is required for the applicant to succeed
· Ability to multi-task.
· Ability to assess patient’s conditions and make treatment plans.
· Work effectively as a true extension of the supervising physician.
· Effective communication skills to clearly communicate with patients and other staff members to gather pertinent information regarding conditions and treatment and to create well organized, succinct, and clear information to supervising physicians.
