Strategic Planning & Corporate Development Manager

Smartly.io has an exciting opportunity for an experienced strategy and corporate development professional to join our organization and make their mark! You will  source, evaluate and drive M&A activities to cement our place as one of the world’s largest SaaS digital advertising platforms. You will help to develop our strategic roadmap with the Chief Strategy Officer and drive corporate development activities with key collaborators.

The ideal candidate has proven corporate development experience in a high growth technology environment or strategy consulting company and is a self-starter who possesses outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills. This role reports to the Chief Strategy Officer and will work closely with a broad range of internal collaborators from product to go-to-market teams.

Smartly.io is a hybrid first company and the expectation for most roles is that you will work from the Helsinki office 2 days a week.

As Strategic Planning & Corporate Development Manager at Smartly.io, you will…

• Develop and drive the strategy roadmap together with CSO
• Drive M&A activities together with CSO and identify M&A opportunities that will further our strategic direction
• Conduct business and market analysis to support strategic work
• Work cross functionally to analyze products and technologies that fit with our long term roadmap and partner with product,  engineering and product marketing
• Collaborate with various stakeholder to ensure seamless deal execution

We are looking for you, if you have…

• 4 + years experience in corporate development and strategy - technology sector, private equity, and/or venture capital 
• Experience at a top-tier consulting company, System Integrator,  M&A or Analytics firm preferred
• Strong financial savvy and analytical skills, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in one or more BI and visualization tools like Looker, Periscope, Tableau or Power BI (we use Tableau and Redash)
• A self-starter who can  drive day-to-day deal execution 
• The ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment
• A high tolerance for change, and the capacity to accomplish priorities in a constantly evolving environment.
• A strong understanding of advertising technology and/or software markets, trends, and dynamics
• Bachelor or Master Degree from an accredited institution
