PageWide Web Press Workflow Solutions Engineer<p></p><p><b>Description -</b></p><p><span>The </span>Workflow Solutions Engineer<span> is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable workflow solutions. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including software developers, project managers, finishing engineers, and solutions architects, to create solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and deliver value to customers. The role ensures the efficiency, reliability, and performance of workflow solutions in the industrial print industry. The role provides guidance to other team members on developing validation execution plans for new technologies, as well as provides tier 4 level support to our customers.</span><br/><br/><b>Responsibilities</b></p><p>• Develops understanding of and relationship with internal and outsourced development partners on workflow software in an industrial environment.</p><p>• Contributes as a member of project team of other engineers, and internal and outsourced development partners to develop reliable, cost effective, and high-quality solutions in the digital industrial print industry.</p><p>• Primary interface between customer facing support engineers and product development teams.</p><p>• Attend HP support calls, work directly with customers, and visit customer sites as needed to resolve incidents. Get to root cause, develop solutions, qualify, coordinate, and plan customer deployment.</p><p>• Communicate issue status, progress and resolution with management, internal, and outsourced development partners.</p><p>• Draw and apply knowledge from developers in R&amp;D to perform the Tier 4 function.  Partner with R&amp;D to ensure a successful NPI of key programs.</p><p>• Pass on resolution knowledge to the Tier 1-3 teams with the goal of reducing the life cycle of the support request, as well as increasing their ability to close more incidents.<br/>• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.</p><p><br/><b><b>Education &amp; Experience</b> Recommended</b><br/>• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.<br/>• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field.</p><p>• Understanding of the processes involved in commercial printing, especially as needed to communicate with HP customers.</p><p>• Practical knowledge and experience in the preparation and analysis of PDF files for printing, including color management, imposition and preflight.</p><p>• Networking experience with VLANs, Security.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Certifications</b><br/>• Certified Software Systems Engineer (CSSE)<br/>• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)<br/><br/><b>Knowledge &amp; Skills</b></p><p>• Agile Methodology<br/>• Amazon Web Services<br/>• Application Programming Interface (API)<br/>• Automation<br/>• C++ (Programming Language)<br/>• Computer Science<br/>• Debugging<br/>• Docker (Software)<br/>• Kubernetes<br/>• Linux<br/>• Python (Programming Language)<br/>• Scalability<br/>• Ultimate Impostrip<br/>• SQL (Programming Language)</p><p>• XML</p><p><br/><b>Cross-Org Skills</b><br/>• Effective Communication<br/>• Results Orientation<br/>• Learning Agility<br/>• Digital Fluency<br/>• Customer Centricity<br/><br/><b>Impact &amp; Scope</b><br/>• Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.<br/><br/><b>Complexity</b><br/>• Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.<br/><br/><b>Disclaimer</b><br/>• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
