Job Summary

The Senior International Tax Analyst will be responsible for performing day-to-day tax compliance functions for U.S. and International tax components of H-D. The Senior International Tax Analyst will maintain tax systems for the tax compliance and reporting process, assist in tax projects, partner with the H-D businesses on various transformation initiatives, support income tax audits, and perform value-added activities within the H-D Corporate Tax Team. 


As part of the compliance process the Senior International Tax Analyst will prepare/review state, local, federal, and international income tax returns, quarterly estimates, and annual extensions. Extract data from relevant source data systems and create organized and thorough workpapers that follow internal control procedures. 


As part of the quarterly and annual tax reporting process the Senior International Tax Analyst will prepare US taxable income calculations, global tax provisions, non-US income tax return review, return-to-provision calculations, and foreign inclusion calculations involving international components. Also included in the role is analysis of various general 
ledger tax accounts and assistance with the budgeting/forecasting process, intercompany transaction testing, and transfer pricing analysis. 
 
The Senior International Tax Analyst will interact across all levels of the H-D organization and develop global tax capabilities using CorpTax software, VantagePoint Solutions, other corporate financial systems such as SAP General Ledger, Microsoft Office applications, Bloomberg Fixed Assets, and other leading tax technology tools.

Job Responsibilities

Tax Provision: 
o Prepare US taxable income calculations, global tax provisions, balance sheet rollforward schedules, non-US income tax return review, return-toprovision calculations, tax footnote preparation, and income inclusion calculations. 
o Analysis of tax accounts and assistance with the budgeting/forecasting process, intercompany pricing, and transfer pricing reports, and transfer 
pricing monitoring files. 
o Work seamlessly across all areas of income tax to prepare workpapers, document procedures, and maintain tax systems. 
Tax Compliance: 
o Prepare annual state, local, federal, and US income tax returns [Forms 5471] required for international affiliates. 
o Review international corporate income tax returns, provide data and analysis to service providers preparing local corporate income tax deliverables, review corporate income tax returns, review transfer pricing reports, and other deliverables from service providers. 
o Support Tax Management by leading or scheduling calls with local service providers and local finance teams relating to tax compliance and reporting. 
o Prepare journal entries, check requests, and research tax payments or other specific data to resolve tax correspondence from tax authorities. 
o Prepare US domestic and international reporting for Bureau of Economic Analysis [BEA] Reporting, Forms W8BEN-E, apply for US residency certificates and other compliance and reporting items. 
• Tax Research & Audit Support: 
o Perform tax research, support corporate federal, state, and international income tax audits, and maintain tax systems and prepare audit-ready workpapers that meet internal control requirements. 
o Support all levels of income tax audits and assist with internal control documentation and SOX Tax controls. 
o Support any tax functional needs determined by Tax Management and continuously improve processes, procedures, and responsibilities related to the Senior Tax Analyst role that enhance tax provision, tax compliance, tax audit documentation, and tax reporting.
