Overview
The Psychology Department at Salem State University is seeking to fill one full-time, tenure-track position in Behavior Analysis. Applicants for the position should be prepared to a) teach graduate courses in the M.S. Behavior Analysis Program (e.g., applied behavior analysis, behavioral principles, small N research design and analysis, experimental analysis of behavior); b) teach undergraduate courses in the Psychology Department (e.g., introduction to learning, seminar in learning theory, ABA internship); c) maintain an active program of scholarship/research; d) demonstrate commitment to infusing multicultural content and social justice principles across all course work, research, supervision, advising & mentoring, and training; and e) contribute to and support efforts to maintain ABAI-accreditation for the M.S. Behavior Analysis Program. The M.S. Behavior Analysis Program is currently an evening program and all classes meet after 4:30 PM, while the undergraduate Psychology Department courses are during the day.

Qualifications
Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates are required to perform duties in accordance with the MSCA contract. Duties include teaching, advising, scholarship and contributions to continuously improve the department and university. The standard teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. The position is subject to available funding.
Required Qualifications
1. PhD in Psychology with an emphasis in Behavior Analysis. ABD candidates may be considered if their doctorate is completed by August 31, 2026.
2. Must hold an active status as BCBA or BCBA-D.
3. Experience and demonstrated effectiveness in graduate and/or undergraduate teaching.
4. Licensure eligibility to be a licensed applied behavior analyst (LABA) in the state of Massachusetts.
5. Experience in and commitment to teaching, research, advising and/or mentoring students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles.
6. Record of implementing social justice principles.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Prior experience with and/or knowledge of the ABAI-accreditation standards for coursework content hours, supervised experiential learning hours, and thesis or equivalent standards.
2. Demonstrated experience completing and/or overseeing graduate thesis or thesis equivalencies at an ABAI accredited institution.
3. Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst in Massachusetts with full-time experience as an applied behavior analyst.
4. Experience in supervision and training of individuals related to BACB certification and state licensure requirements.
5. Experience in and commitment to teaching effectiveness using in person, hybrid, and online blended or synchronous modalities.
6. An active program of scholarship/research that can include graduate and/or undergraduate students.
