TURNAROUND Skilled Laborers - TEMPORARY 1-3 months

General Description:
This is a temporary 1-3 month position for the Kenai refinery turnaround beginning in March 2026.
You must be able to pass a 7-year criminal background check, and a HAIR FOLLICLE drug test!
The laborer position is responsible for performing general labor work along with assisting craftsmen in performing their tasks. Laborers must apply sound judgment and understanding when carrying out detailed or uninvolved written and/or oral instructions. Must have the ability to analyze and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Must have the ability to read and interpret safety manuals and warning signs, drawings, specifications, rigging diagrams and lifting capacity charts for equipment and load carrying parts. Must display capable oral communication skills and have the ability to provide and receive oral safety warnings, instructions and task assignments.

• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Participate in CCI’s STEPBACK safety program and stay compliant with online training modules in the online safety program (EHS). Review and comply with the various Client’s safety programs.
• Your responsibility includes representing the Company in a professional manner at all times.
• Assist in civil and mechanical construction, excavation / trenching, backfill / compacting, raking, shoveling, cleaning, and organizing materials.
• Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization. Knowledge of load securement practices.
• Assist in cleaning and preparation of petroleum storage tanks for inspections and mechanical repairs.
• Loosen or tighten pipe, casing, tubing and pump rods, using hand and power tools.
• Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and severe outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles in a mechanical shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Hearing protection and the use of safety eye-wear is required in most working situations.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• MUST be clean-shaven as will need to be respiratory fit tested.
• TWIC card is preferred for the refinery.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Ability to pass a 7-year background check and hair follicle pre-employment and random testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience around heavy equipment in an oilfield environment is preferred. General carpenter experience is preferred. Tank Cleaning experience is preferred.

• MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 50 pounds for 20 feet.
• HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
• VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
• LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 pounds f
