The Service Coordinator ensures operational continuity and service excellence by acting as a central liaison among internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors. This role will assist the Operational Excellence Lead in overseeing administrative operations, space and asset management, IT and facilities support. The Service Coordinator will assist with reviewing departmental workflows, to ensure smooth execution of special projects and large-scale events. By maintaining efficient processes and clear communication, the position supports strategic alignment and high-performing service delivery within the School of Public Health to align with university-wide policies and procedures.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Supports school in all non-academic operations, including partnering with university-wide financial, HR, and compliance functions; ensures the school is in alignment with university policies, facilitates onboarding and training, and maintains accurate personnel and departmental records.
Reviews the execution of departmental activities, forecasting, and expense processing; manages work-study funding and grant budget entries, supporting the Operational Excellence Lead to help them ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance with the finance team.
Provides day-to-day support and partnership with administrative staff; coordinates workload distribution, monitors performance, conducts regular meetings, and supports staff development and organizational efficiency.
Supports the Operational Excellence Lead in their role as the department liaison to IT, Facilities, and building services; oversees office equipment, asset inventory, space planning, and resolution of infrastructure-related issues to maintain operational continuity.
Leads coordination of departmental events, academic conferences, special projects, and large meetings; manages logistics, vendor communications, and ensures smooth execution aligned with strategic goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.

$23.37 - $36.19 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University.
