Salary + Bonus
Southern Glazer’s offers a competitive compensation package with expected first year total earnings of $160,900-221,000 / year plus bonus. In determining a final offer, the company will evaluate a specific candidate's education, skills and experience and will make an offer appropriately.
Overview
The Region Sr Dir National Accounts will lead the communication flow of information between National Accounts and Region Leadership for all Sales and Execution activities. This role will act as the main liaison for Regional Account Customer Development to and NRS account leadership to region leadership with a focus in elevating the communication and information flow and execution. These duties include the monitoring of key retail national programs, problem solving with State Chain leadership and engagement in the planning process with key supplier partners. The role will assume a Leadership role, managing a team of CD Dir & Managers, and/or by leading higher level initiatives at the assigned account.
Primary Responsibilities
• A high-level understanding of Operations/Sales/Customer Development/ Category Management processes and practices and ability to collaborate with external retail customers, key suppliers and internal teams to deliver insights and recommendations within the below key domains:
• Insights and Analytics at the Macro Level, Retailer & Market, Consumer, and Shopper levels
• 4 P’s (Product/Assortment, Placement/Merchandising, Promotion, Pricing)
• Operational effectiveness
• Assertive leadership/decisions making skills and high energy level, with an aptitude for understanding changing market dynamics and resolving complex problems.
• Communicate regularly with assigned region leadership contact providing project status updates, short-term analysis, and potential issues.
• Implement Commercial Operations Strategies to enhance overall market performance, analytics capabilities, and gross profit attainment goals.
• Provide state sales leads with communication around all execution, expectations, and action items.
• Contribute to team problem solving through findings and insights from analysis.
• Develop supplier alignment process to effectively understand and execute against key supplier brand standards.
• Lead strategy development, implementation, and monitoring of category management capabilities to optimize channel business performance.
• Develop strategies and processes that facilitate the communication of insights and information to retail partners in a timely and actionable manner.
• Stay informed of analytic best practices across the industry
• Assigns scorecard tracking of assigned responsibility (including but not limited to: sales, distribution, execution, profits, margins, market share)
• Maintain relationships with cross-functional groups, corporate, retailer and planogram teams.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field required.
• Minimum 10 yrs. experience within CPG sector. BevAlc experience preferred; NRS experience preferred.
• Experience with Accounts programming dynamics, forecasting, and execution tracking metrics.
• Experience with category management principles, syndicated data, shopper/consumer insights and space management principles and software.
• Experience with analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
• Demonstrated experience leading and managing a team required.
