Position Overview
The Mechanical Technician 2 position is responsible for fabricating, testing and inspecting Electrical-Mechanical assemblies, utilizing blueprints and work instructions in support of the Advanced Robotics & Mission Systems business unit. This role will be responsible for assuring these products meet or exceed customer expectations. The Mechanical Technician 2 position will work closely with other departments to ensure this is accomplished in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate with a high sense of urgency Electro-Mechanical Assemblies.
- Able to plan and manage job assignments and meet scheduled goals.
- Understand how to reference and comply with IPC-610/620 standards, J-Standard-001 manuals experience would be a plus.
- Able to perform manufacturing tasks with limited engineering notes, work instructions and schematics.
- Install /assemble a wide variety of electronic components.
- Perform hand-soldering desired.
- Safely operate hand tools, torque tools, soldering equipment, etc.
- Experienced with assembly and measuring tools, able to perform basic shop-floor math.
- Maintain and organize assembly work stations.
- Documentation must be complete and accurate using cGMP.
- Comply with appropriate safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2-5 years MFG experience working a mix of electrical and mechanical assemblies
- Verifiable HS diploma/GED required
- Able to read, understand and assemble a variety of products according to assembly procedures, drawings and bill-of-material.
- Possess good written and oral communication skills.
