Job Description

As a Security Officer - Access Control Retail Desk in Florence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment within a retail or mall location. Your primary responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to assist visitors and staff. You will play an important role in upholding our values by providing exceptional customer service, demonstrating integrity, and working collaboratively with your team. What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying the credentials of individuals entering and exiting designated areas.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and vendors with access-related inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including potential access control violations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any irregularities, access violations, or unusual circumstances as observed during patrols or at access points.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
