As the Director, Global Marketing Content reporting into the Senior Director, Global Brand Content Marketing, you and your team will be accountable for the development of global seasonal product marketing campaigns, narratives and strategic initiative, from strategy conception and briefing to creative execution and content release. Employing a structured concept-to-consumer process, you will leverage robust relationships across various departments within the organization, including Global/Regional Marketing, Global/Regional Merchandising, Marketplace Insights, Project Management and Operations, Internal Creative Studio, and External Creative Agencies, among others, to ensure all outputs are successful.

Your primary responsibility will involve guiding the global content team in crafting and implementing seasonal campaigns aimed at reinforcing brand positioning, equity, and awareness to establish a compelling and cohesive Levi's identity worldwide.

You will spearhead the drive for enhanced global leverage, scalability, and coherence by championing a globally oriented approach to support most of our product and brand marketing initiatives, with the goal to have 80% of content and asset development done through the global Marketing and global Brand Creative teams. You will oversee a team tasked with ensuring seamless coordination with our Cluster marketing teams, facilitating communication regarding delivered work, usage expectations, and resolution of any local challenges.

About the Job

  • Lead the development of seasonal global brand creative and storytelling content across all media and owned channels (inclusive of, but not limited to, social media, Levi.com, mobile applications, in-store (retail and wholesale), and traditional) with a primary focus on driving product narratives.
  • Partner with Brand marketing leaders and counterparts in Merchandising and Design to craft the vision for a year, season, project or initiative, and be able to distill that further into thoughtful creative strategies and action plans that are inspiring and meaningful.
  • Lead the development of sell-in and internal seasonal line launch content and tools that drive internal alignment and external energy.
  • Ensure that Levi’s marketing and content drive a globally consistent and compelling Levi's look/feel and narrative.
  • Work in close collaboration with cross functional Global Marketing teams (Marketplace Insights, PR, Media, Social, Brand Partnerships, Levi’s Historian plus Brand Experience) to lead integrated creative briefs that champion channel best practices.
  • Understand the role of content, not only across the marketing eco-system but within the consumer journey. Create solutions that reflect those requirements and are informed by deep consumer, cultural and competitor insights.
  • Critically evaluate creative proposals and output to ensure it is impactful and inspiring to our fans, as well as on brief and on brand. Integrating partners across the business as needed throughout development for thought partnership and alignment.
  • Socialize marketing campaign toolkits with the key internal teams and publish to all stakeholders for global deployment.
  • Support local team development of Brand content via consultation and/or partnering with Levi’s Creative teams to develop various global guidelines and style guides to ensure executional clarity and continuity.
  • Through Creative and Operations team partnership – ensure all key milestones and delivery dates are met, creative development process is kept in scope and key stakeholders are integrated at all necessary points to ensure optimal output.
  • Responsible for your portion of the A&P budget to ensure budget adherence, forecast accuracy and optimal cost-to-benefit ratio. Including negotiating contracts with appropriate agency / vendor partners.Manage, mentor and develop direct reports in a manner that is inclusive, inspiring and consistent with Levi’s values and corporate guidelines.

About You

  • 8+ years of combined college education and applicable work experience (retail/apparel specific experience a plus).
  • Strategic brief development and content creation/production experience a requirementplus.
