What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related policies at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting emergency services and documenting observed activity as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public-facing spaces while verifying credentials, controlling access, and following post orders for government operations.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, patrol activities, and/or policy violations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or public agency personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess 1 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
