Purchasing Specialist for Metrology (3924-W)

We are searching for a Purchasing Specialist to help formalize and manage purchasing processes for a medium-sized business.

Our client is a leader in the metrology instrumentation space and has been consistently expanding their brand and reach. This role will include centralizing purchasing to one department, coordinating purchasing activity, and ensuring that good purchasing practices are being utilized.

LOCATION
Ann Arbor, MI area

COMPENSATION
$70K - $100K (depending on skills and experience)

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business

REQUIRED

• Minimum 4 years of purchasing experience in a technology space
• Able to manage daily purchasing activities
• Experience establishing and managing procurement processes
• Experience managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
• Experience assessing vendor reliability and developing new sources of supply as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
