Job Description Summary

Enables the business to better understand, evaluate and manage its strategic, operational, credit, market and liquidity risks across the enterprise. Enterprise and operational risk positions establish and monitor the risk appetite, assess control over critical processes, analyze internal and external risk events and optimize operational risk capital. Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management program through the implementation and the ongoing management of processes within the BU or HQ.
  • Typically a 2nd line manager with senior professional direct reports. Has ability to attract and retain talent. Often manages medium to large teams. Developing expertise within function. Growing reputation within the organization. Includes roles that are experts in their discipline, providing professional or thought leadership. Influences policy and ensures delivery within own function, linking with other functions of the organization.
  • May lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view. Influences peers to take action and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers.
  • Has major influence on small business unit, a segment within a larger business unit, a family within a Function or a P&L business segment and has ownership/influence over budgets. The role is guided by functional policy. The role influences policy/operating guidelines about important subjects.
  • Leads others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that may impact the organization. Has the ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Enterprise and Operational Risk.

Eligibility Requirements

  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
  • The preferred work location is at GE Vernova in Atlanta Georgia, but highly qualified remote eligible candidates will be considered. (Relocation assistance provided)

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $157,600.00 and $262,600.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
