Intern Engineering Senior

1. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under close supervision, performs engineering-related assignments as part of a cross-functional team.  This may include utilizing advanced engineering software to support senior engineers and designers in various project tasks, collaborating with cross functional teams to gain a deep understanding of component design, manufact                                         uring, and marketing aspects, conducting tests, analyzing results, proposing improvements, and contributing to program development.

 

1. SPECIFIC DUTIES:

1. Utilize advanced engineering software packages to support senior engineers and designers in various project tasks.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain a deep understanding of component design, manufacturing, and marketing aspects.
3. Assist in conducting tests and analyzing results to ensure design integrity and propose improvements.
4. Contribute to the development of new programs and assist in program management.
5. Maintain engineering records and actively participate in ongoing division programs or initiatives.
6. Support engineers in generating key program management documents, including specifications, estimates, and reports.

Must be able to participate in team projects.

 

IV.     COMMUNICATIONS:

ORAL:              Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.

WRITTEN:        Possess ability to produce written communications, prepare reports and documentation that are clear and concise.

 

  V.    SCHEDULING AND PLANNING:

Must be able to work to the schedule described in a project plan.

 

VI.     BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:            Successful completion of three years of college from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Engineering required.

EXPERIENCE:          Demonstrated ability to perform the above functions. Prior work assignments in engineering-related activities preferred. 

OTHER SKILLS:        AutoCAD and Pro-E training and/or other manufacturing software a plus.
