About your team :

The German Supplier Oversight function on the one hand coordinates the collaboration of the respective teams with the business to ensure the continuous compliance of their systems/procedures/processes with the relevant legal, contractual, and internal / external regulations and requirements and on the other hand ensures an adequate vendor management of our external suppliers.

About your role :

As a Senior Third Party Vendor Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee and monitor the goods, services, or activities provided by our most critical third-party partners and any risk arising. Your role involves ensuring compliance with our outsourcing and third-party policies, as well supporting the local vendor managers. Additionally, you will collaborate with dedicated 2nd line of defense functions to support the aim of strengthening Operational Resilience throughout.

This includes:

  • To establish, manage and support the development, implementation and embedding of third-party vendor management policies and framework within the business under consideration of regulatory impacts (e.g. MaRisk/BAIT/DORA/EBA)
  • To actively manage contractual processes and relationships with the critical third-party vendors along the vendor lifecycle including regular governance reviews and assessment  of internal impact
  • To ensure that costs are negotiated charged correctly, consistently and managed at a reasonable level
  • Support the onboarding processes of third parties, ensuring due diligence and necessary approvals
  • To conduct ongoing supplier benchmarking or RFPs and financial and risk assessment reviews and manage issues
  • To design and implement monitoring and reporting processes for various groups and internal Committees
  • To complete required reporting on supplier performance and third-party risks
  • To collaborate with Business Process Owners to produce Exit Plans and align to strategy
  • Monitor third-party relationships, identify risks, and coordinate mitigation efforts with SMEs
  • To support the Legal function in managing new and renewal contracts

About you :

You’ll succeed because you have:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Business Management, or related field of study
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in outsourcing and third party risk management practices
  • Proven commercial experience in the area of supplier/vendor management
  • Knowledge and understanding of regulatory outsourcing and third party risk management requirements
  • Ability to build relationships and trust internally and externally
  • Understanding of Operational Resilience and vendor related regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of business process workflows
  • Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills and it is in your nature to find pragmatic solutions
  • Ability to present your findings on a high-level and report these to all stakeholders on a cross functional level
  • Confidence when it comes to challenging existing processes and supporting your arguments with backed-up reasoning
  • Fluent German and English language skills required
  • Passion to continuously drive the bank for more efficiency
