POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager will be a key member of Dover’s HR Operations team.  Dover is on a journey to centralize and streamline its HR Operations.  Dover has also implemented SuccessFactors, ADP GlobalView, eTime and Salesforce as its collective HR Landscape.  The key objectives of this role will be to manage enterprise level HR Ops projects, drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, and help define the future state of Dover’s HR Operations.

This person will take on a key role in the HR Operations (HR Ops) transformation and implementation activities.  As the Senior Manager of HR Ops & CI, this person will be expected to set direction and help define the future state of HR Ops.  The Senior Manager will be exposed to key HR systems including Salesforce, Success Factors and GlobalView and directly work on various HR Operations projects such as enterprise transformation initiatives, system enhancements, interfaces, reporting, analytics, training and global system support.  The scope and breadth of responsibilities will vary substantially based on timing and project workload.  The responsibilities will vary from future state design, strategic thinking and analysis and high-level planning to project managing various sub projects and directly engaging in triage of complex operational issues, system configuration, data loads etc.  This role will be heavily involved in the design and project management of Dover’s future HR Operating model. The Senior Manager will be responsible for leading the HR Operations team’s continuous improvement governance, projects and initiatives. As a result, this role will offer a very wide and diverse exposure.  Lastly, this person will also be tasked with being a liaison and issue resolution across various Dover functions beyond HR, such as IT, Legal, Compliance and Finance. 
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS:

  • Design and define future state of HR Ops scope and services for various client groups
  • Lead enterprise level initiatives including defining governance, requirements gathering, workshops, implementation and achieving expected Go-Live dates
  • Support the design and project management of Dover’s HR operating model transformation
  • Support future state HR process mapping and work activity analysis
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives within HR Operations and drive enterprise standardization
  • Establish HR Ops, CI, and project governance and manage HR ops project for key enterprise initiatives
  • Significant involvement with system and HR Operations implementations through project management and participation in design, testing, and data conversion for core and add on modules
  • Work with functional and technical teams to provide system support and help triage urgent and complex system issues (Tier 2 support) 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree or other four-year degree equivalent
  • Experience defining future state org design and leading HR Transformation initiatives
  • Experience managing and supporting large scale HR Transformation projects and Continuous Improvement activities
  • Experience implementing various HR system and HR Operations projects preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience developing functional requirements and design of interfaces between HR systems and downstream applications including SAP Concur, benefits, and payroll  
  • Experience with HR Operations Analytics & Workforce Planning
  • Experience managing support activities and driving continuous improvement within HR Case Management, Knowledgebase and Employee Portal
  • Experience developing testing strategy plans and defect management processes through unit, systems integration, and user acceptance testing phases
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of HR Functions, Compensation, Recruiting, Performance / Talent Management, Workforce Analytics, Workforce Planning
