Position Overview

A fast-paced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Coordinator to provide night-shift leadership, support clinical excellence, and guide a highly skilled care team. Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-Time Nights: 7 PM – 7 AM

  • Weekends: Rotating, 2 weekends per month (Friday–Sunday)

  • Salary: $34.24–$45.75/hr (based on experience)

Differentials

  • Nights: +$3.75/hr

  • Weekends: +$6.00/hr

Bonuses

  • Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

  • Relocation Assistance: $5,000 (for candidates relocating 50+ miles)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and act as a resource for PCU staff

  • Coordinate and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team

  • Support staff through coaching, mentoring, and real-time feedback

  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, and daily operations

  • Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and throughput

  • Monitor and manage a 34-bed PCU treating patients with:

    • Chest pain, CVA/TIA, sepsis, pulmonary complications

    • Drips including cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, and lasix

    • Neuro and COVID-related conditions

  • Promote high-quality, patient-centered care and positive outcomes

Qualifications

Required

  • Active RN license

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  • Previous Charge Nurse experience

  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Stroke Certification (within 30 days of hire)

Preferred

  • Experience in PCU, step-down, or acute care

  • Strong leadership and communication skills
