Position Title: Vice President of Field Operations
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Location: Florida (Hybrid)

Position Overview:
The Vice President of Field Operations (VPFO) is responsible for leading, managing, and scaling Capacity Path’s disaster deployment operations. The VPFO oversees field logistics, inventory management, deployment staffing, and operational command functions during disaster activations. This executive leader ensures that field operations are executed with excellence, accountability, and mission alignment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee all aspects of field deployment planning, staffing, logistics, and resource management
- Serve as the primary operational lead during active disaster deployments, including field team command and coordination with Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) and client agencies
- Maintain readiness of responder rosters, field kits, equipment inventories, transportation assets, and housing assignments
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage field deployment staff, including Task Force Leaders, deployment teams, and surge responders
- Lead the creation and continuous improvement of deployment Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and accountability systems
- Collaborate with internal leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, field team scaling, and organizational growth
- Manage after-action reviews (AARs), debriefs, and continuous improvement initiatives post-deployment
- Ensure operational compliance with state, federal, and client-specific regulations
- Serve as a key client liaison for operational matters during field activations
- Represent the organization with professionalism, cultural competency, and operational excellence

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Operations Management, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in disaster response, emergency management, logistics, or field operations
- Demonstrated leadership of multi-disciplinary field teams under high-pressure conditions
- Strong knowledge of incident command systems (ICS), FEMA protocols, and operational logistics
- Excellent leadership, communication, team-building, and crisis management skills
- Ability to travel for deployments, sometimes on short notice
- Ability to work extended hours during active disaster responses

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Emergency Management, Business Administration, or related field
- ICS 100, 200, 300, and/or 400 certifications
- FEMA Disaster Case Management (DCM) experience
- Spanish language proficiency or additional languages a plus
- Experience with humanitarian response, housing operations, or survivor support initiatives
