DUST Identity seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. As a Government Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling hardware and software solutions to military, federal, and government accounts. Your primary goal will be to establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in these organizations and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify and pursue sales opportunities: Research and identify potential customers within military, federal, IC, and government sectors. Proactively generate leads, qualify prospects, and build a robust sales pipeline.
2. Develop and execute sales strategies: Create and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to penetrate government accounts. Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to meet specific customer needs and address pain points.
3. Build and maintain relationships: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including military personnel, government officials, procurement officers, and system integrators. Understand their unique requirements, challenges, and procurement processes.
4. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations: Effectively present and demonstrate the features and benefits of our hardware and software solutions to potential clients. Clearly articulate the value proposition and technical capabilities of the products.
5. Prepare and submit proposals: Prepare compelling and competitive proposals in response to customer requirements and requests for proposals (RFPs). Collaborate with the sales support team to ensure accurate and timely submission.
6. Negotiate contracts: Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions with customers. Work closely with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
7. Meet sales targets and objectives: Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and objectives within the assigned territory or accounts. Track sales metrics, analyze performance, and take proactive measures to address any gaps.
8. Stay updated on industry trends: Stay informed about industry trends, government regulations, and the competitive landscape affecting the hardware and software solutions market. Provide market intelligence and feedback to internal teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven track record of success in government or enterprise sales, specifically within the military, federal, or government sectors.
- In-depth understanding of government procurement processes and contracting requirements.
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software solutions, preferably in the defense or government sectors.
- Experience building and leading a team of individuals is a plus!
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
