Job Details:

Position ranges from Maintenance Generalist 01 to Maintenance Generalist 08.  Hourly rates range from $23.05 to $32.95 plus $.65 shift premium.  Position requires overtime and weekends. Salary offer is based on individual knowledge and experience.

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 90 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:  

Position is responsible for maintaining equipment in good working condition.   

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs  

• Perform emergency mechanical or electrical repairs  

• Perform preventing maintenance 

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Plant equipment  

• Minimize downtime due to equipment failure  

• Support production in addressing equipment problems during shift  

• Handle all mechanical problems that may arise in a fast-paced environment  

• Ensure work area is clean at all time 

• Record keeping and attention to detail 

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Ability to push, pull, and lift 20 pounds repeatedly during shift 

• Ability to push, pull and lift 75 pounds occasionally 

• Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day 

• Must work in cold/hot temperatures ranging from -20 to 100 degrees 

• Repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, and gripping  

• Frequent overhead work 

• Basic Math skills: percentages, fractions, and measurements
