You’ll discover new opportunities, crafting intuitive and effortless solutions that improve every stage of a colleague and supplier experience.</p><p>We have a wide range of roles as specialisms in Tesco, our remit covers 270 different role types, across 84 departments and 10 business divisions.</p><p>Our current work touches on a wide variety of the employee experience, including:</p><ul><li>Lifecycle of a product from development to ranging in stores</li><li>Stock, service, and security operations within our stores</li><li>Colleague lifecycle, capability, and development</li><li>Internal communications and colleague networks</li></ul><p>Our colleagues work across a wide range of devices, applications, and systems to do their jobs. We work across broad aspects of our business, including distribution, office, and stores. Our teams are global with many colleagues working in different geographies (United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, India, Central Europe).</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>You’ll own UI design for large and small, and occasionally multi platform projects from start to finish, redefining complicated colleague tasks into simple and intuitive UI solutions</li><li>Taking ownership of all end-to-end UI process activities including interaction design discovery, identifying trends, and critically analyzing their viability, sketching, wire-framing, prototyping, and delivering ready for build design files.</li><li>Collaborate with different teams: You will work closely with UX designers, researchers, engineers, in store colleagues, product managers, data analysts, and business customers to explore, build and deliver designs.</li><li>Take part in planning and carrying out in-store research, contacting relevant colleagues, planning test sessions and occasionally shadowing colleagues in store as they carry out their tasks, to build an understanding of what needs to be done for each given project</li><li>Champion human centered design inside and outside of your team.</li><li>Develop a high-level understanding of general responsibilities for various in store colleagues and learn to understand the different challenges faced in different sized store formats.</li><li>Working within and across agile squads to design, develop and improve the colleague experience across our digital products.</li><li>Partner with UX designers and researchers to help your team develop empathy for our colleagues, including those with a disability, and advocate for their needs, validating designs via A/B testing, unmoderated, usability testing, etc.</li><li>Work closely with engineering teams to understand feasibility of design ideas and ensure review of design implementation at key stages of the development cycle</li><li>Partner with the analytics team to help inform your work.</li><li>Facilitate workshops, run appropriate conceptualization and participatory design sessions</li><li>Promote inclusive design practices and deliver accessible designs</li><li>Deliver valuable, high-quality, and consistent work without sacrificing speed by using our Digital Design System and its standardized foundations, components, and patterns.</li><li>Collaborate with the design system team to help evolve the design system based on user needs</li><li>Help other teams understand the value design can bring to a project to build the best products.</li><li>Continuously seek to improve design processes inside/outside of your team to gain efficiency, remove obstacles, and simplify workflows</li><li>Provide feedback to other designers to help strengthen your team and Tesco as a whole.
