KBR is seeking a Senior Supply Specialist to join our Team !

For purchasing equipment, repair parts, other required items and submitting contract requirements for services:

This position is located in Newport, Rhode Island.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Analyzes, organizes, plans and administers various phases of day-to-day provisioning, spares, or maintenance/repair activities for one or more basic programs using established procedures.

• Conducts regular inventory counts and reconciliation of equipment.

• Assist with contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.

• Assists in developing logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.

• Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.

• Draft and review reports for accuracy statements of work and contract proposals.

• Develop and implement effective and efficient procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective purchases.

• Source, negotiate, and mange vendor contracts and relationship to secure favorable terms, pricing and delivery schedules.

• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with technicians to ensure adequate stock while minimizing surplus.

• Evaluate supplier and service provider performance and conduct regular vendor assessments to optimize procurement processes and service processes.

• Collaborate with regional equipment managers to develop budget plans aligned with command requirements.

• Analyzed inventory and conducts/develops tracking metrics for equipment.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience. 13 years of relevant experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• An active secret level security clearance.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior military experience in a logistics/supply role.

• Familiarity with Surface Warfare Schools is a plus.

• Familiar with managing budgets and cost-reducing processes.
