I-77 Mobility Partners LLC is financing, developing, designing, constructing, operating and maintaining the 26-mile I-77 Express project as part of a public-private partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The tolled express lanes run adjacent to the general-purpose lanes on I-77 between uptown Charlotte and Mooresville. I-77 Mobility Partners is responsible for operations and maintenance of all lanes, both express and general purpose, and right of way within the designated project corridor limits.What makes us different? Under general supervision, assists in the development and implementation of the I-77 safety program; conduct work site safety observations and incident investigations; support initiatives to educate and train employees about health and safety regulations and precautions to ensure a safe work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participates/assists in the development and implementation of safety programs related to Maintenance and Tolling activities, and other OSHA safety compliance programs.
Advises the Operations & Maintenance, and ITS staff on safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of workers as regulatory compliance as mandated by local, state, and federal agencies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), ANSI, and NFPA.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and assess risks associated with various work activities.
Assigns, develops and delivers training to employees on safety procedures, emergency response, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Assists with ordering necessary safety supplies and equipment (PPE, etc.)
Perform regular and follow-up inspections of facility, equipment, and work practices to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
Support response and closure of follow up items and corrective actions.
Investigates incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine needed corrective actions.
Maintains accurate records of all training, inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
