About the role

We are looking for Senior Cloud DevOps (Development and Operations) professionals to join our growing Oracle Analytics Data Intelligence Applications team. This role would be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our critical cloud infrastructure in OCI, cloud deployments, DevOps tooling, monitoring, incident management across multiple production and preproduction environments, CI/CD, process improvements, and more.

This role requires you to meet “EU Eligible Personnel” requirements

  • Located within the EU at the time of access

EU member states are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.

  • Be employed by a Oracle European Union Sovereign Cloud legal entity in Romania
  • Currently EUSC is established in Spain, Germany, Ireland, Czech Republic, and Romania
  • Must sign the Customer data protection agreement from the list of HR documents that need to be executed when joining the Oracle EU CS entity
  • Be an EU resident

"Residing in the EU" means living in an EU member state.

Have the right to work in the EU.  Individuals who hold at least one of the following government-issued documents from an EU member state are considered to have the right to work:

  1. Valid EU member state Passport
  2. Valid EU member state Birth Certificate
  3. Valid EU member state Naturalisation Certificate

Job Responsibilities include

  • Application deployments in multiple production and preproduction environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
  • Perform DevOps activities to support customers, engineers, and processes through our release cycles as well as production
  • Work directly with various teams including Development, DevOps team and Senior DevOps manager for efficient operations
  • Respond to production incidents, own them and drive to completion, participate in root cause analysis. Incidents response, tracking and resolution to be done based on the established SLAs which would need active participation during non-business hours on rotation basis.
  • Support the product as part of its 24/7 uptime DevOps model. DevOps members will be on-call for weekly shifts on rotation basis to handle production incidents and alerts. The shift is 7 days, so over the week-end and during holidays. This schedule rotation is standard for our operations team.
  • Security Operations with understanding of Security scan tools, triaging and resolving vulnerabilities, using security frameworks, and meeting security compliance standards.
  • Document and design various processes & runbooks; update existing processes
  • Execute, with excellence, delivery of interim patches and hotfixes as required
  • Continually improve the process through automation and creation of tools
  • Work with many teams to take ownership of and resolve product failure/outages.
  • Work with appropriate teams to drive system failures/outages to resolution
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve, Manage CI and CD tools with the team
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by the company
