About this role:
As a Cyber Security Manager, you will play a critical role in planning, executing and maintaining the USGA’s information security strategy. You will work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders, security partners and USGA vendors to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of USGA information systems. You will be hands on, with access to technology and systems to allow you to perform your job functions in a timely and efficient manner. This role requires a deep understanding of information security best practices, risk management, and the ability to identify, develop and implement effective security strategies.
What you'll do:
- Enhances and maintains the information security roadmap, standards, policies and procedures.
- Leads information security related projects; identifies priorities, communicates objectives, manages the effort through completion.
- Conducts risk assessments of information security controls and verifies effectiveness.
- Regularly captures and reports internally on information security metrics and associated risks.
- Maintains Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
- Analyzes vulnerabilities scans, prioritizes items for remediation and collaborates with team to remediate.
- Manages the information security penetration testing program. Coordinates penetration testing activities, analyzes results and plans remediation.
- Performs incident detection and response activities. Analyzes, investigates, and escalates issues identified by the SOC team and supporting systems. Assists the response team with containment, recovery, and improvement.
- Supports championship information technology initiatives to ensure that onsite technology is implemented in a secure manner.
- Oversees applicable compliance standards to ensure that requirements are met.
- Provides guidance on Cyber Security Awareness training activities.
- Works in partnership with the procurement to conduct due diligence activities.
Where you'll be:
This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer technology, business administration, engineering or related field required.
- 4 years’ experience working in the information security field.
- Strong information system and security analysis skills.
- Must be a collaborative, team player.
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal) as well as analytical skills to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and then communicate clearly to stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, proactive and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of the practices of Golf and/or Sports Industry as well as the non-profit business model is a plus.
- CISSP, CISM or related information security certification is a plus.
