By joining our GROWING team, you'll be part of a collaborative and mission-driving team focused on making a lasting, positive impact.  As we continue to expand, we are looking for Asset Management Specialist to support the lifecycle management of IT hardware assets across our organization. This new team will play a critical role managing and tracking IT hardware assets, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and facilitating the efficient deployment of IT resources. The position requires working 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend support as needed. While based out of our Dallas office , some remote work may be available.   About VetcorFounded in 1997, Vetcor is a community-focused veterinary services company supporting over 900 veterinary practices across the U.S. and Canada. Responsibilities 

Asset Management

  • Maintain accurate records of IT hardware inventory, including acquisition, deployment, and decommissioning
  • Perform regular audits of hardware assets to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
  • Track hardware warranties and service agreements, ensuring timely renewals or replacements

Operational Support

  • Assist in the planning and execution of hardware replacements and deployments to support hospital operations
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues promptly
  • Ensure all hardware deployments are configured to meet security and compliance requirements

Project Coordination

  • Support infrastructure projects by managing asset-related tasks, including inventory tracking and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions during hardware replacements or installations
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and asset statuses

Communication and Reporting

  • Communicate effectively with staff to provide guidance on hardware use and address concerns
  • Generate reports on asset utilization, compliance, and lifecycle metrics for leadership review
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation for all asset management processes

Job Requirements: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT asset management, infrastructure support, or a related field
  • Proficiency in IT asset management tools and practices
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with IT hardware lifecycle processes and security compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
