Are you passionate about leveraging the power of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to uncover unique patterns, trends, and insights? We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to join our team and play an essential role in developing innovative solutions using best-in-class GIS technology. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive results by analyzing wireless, wireline, and customer experience data sets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Problem-Solving and Solution Development: Proactively craft and propose solutions that demonstrate the value of GIS by addressing critical business challenges. Clarify how GIS technology can bring business value and insights to our internal clients.
- Client Support and Strategy Development: Work closely with clients to define and support the development of complex strategies using Esri ArcGIS technology.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical leader with deep expertise in Esri ArcGIS technology and telecom data libraries. Share knowledge and coach new team members on best practices.
- Innovation and Adoption: Drive the adoption of new modeling and data insights within downstream organizations. Provide analysis of existing model data to determine future paths and requirements for additional AI/ML.
- Data Analysis and Hypothesis Formulation: Interpret data, formulate hypotheses, and develop analytical approaches to drive business strategy and tooling.
Preferred Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with GIS and Esri technology, including creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- 3+ years of experience in the telecom industry.
- Broad knowledge of ArcGIS from an IT context, including hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Ability to troubleshoot user issues related to ArcGIS application deployment.
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology.
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Programming and scripting experience with languages such as Python and JavaScript.
- General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis for problem-solving and uncovering patterns and trends within organizations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, solve problems, implement new concepts, and deliver quick results.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Education: Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of experience blending technical expertise, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
- Data Visualization: Ability to design intuitive and interactive dashboards that visualize both geographic and non-geographic data. Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau for data visualization and business intelligence, including creating and managing reports, dashboards, and data models.
