About the role

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a High-Performance Computing (HPC) Support Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Mission business unit in Linthicum, MD. As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community. This is a full-time position requiring 1880 hours of support per year; and work is performed at the customer site. As an HPC Support Systems Engineer on our team you will support High-Performance Computing (HPC), providing systems engineering support to the HPC management team. You must have proven systems engineering experience and must be able to advise and assist the Government in various systems engineering activities, especially in Requirements Management and Architectural Design using Cameo.

Qualifications

Individual Capabilities/Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline and at least 15 years of systems engineering experience.  A Master’s or PhD Degree may be substituted for two years of experience.  Note: a High School Diploma or GED plus 19 years of systems engineering experience would also be acceptable.
  • Must have strong systems engineering experience in the areas of Requirements and Architecture
  • Must have at least three (3) years of experience using Cameo tool Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

 

Individual Capabilities/Experience Desired:

  • Experience with IC industry and customer, including mission domain experience in high performance computing and cryptanalysis.
  • Knowledge and familiarity of underlying technologies and architectures for HPC system capabilities. 
  • Ability to work well with the project leads, technical directors, and portfolio managers involved with modern communication methods
  • Experience performing systems engineering activities for a large-scale procurement.
  • Experience working with mission product owners and other various customers to derive requirements.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
