Purpose
The student will assist Professor David Spence with research projects related to the regulation of the energy industry and more general questions related to the law of regulation and policy.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on legal and policy matters
Report findings to professor on periodic basis
Required Qualifications
Enrolled at the University of Texas School of Law as a 2L or 3L
Meet minimum eligibility requirements for student employment
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to work in the fall semester or entire 25-26 academic year
Preferred Qualifications
Interest or experience working on energy or climate matters
Salary Range
$19 per hour (2L)
$21 per hour (3L)
Working Conditions
Typical office environment
Repetitive use of a keyboard
Work may be performed at the Law School or remotely
Work Schedule
Professor requires an average of 10 hours per week of work over the course of the school year, but can be flexible about the distribution of those hours
Position begins immediately upon hiring
Most work can be completed independently on a schedule that the employee determines with oversight and direction regarding deadlines and deliverables
