JOB TITLE: Deputy Project Manager (DISA)
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services, Inc. is seeking an energetic experienced professional to serve in the capacity of a Deputy Project Manager in Oklahoma, City, OK. The successful candidate will have experience creating / devising strategies, mentoring people at all levels, sponsoring projects and proposing technical solutions. This position involves leading teams in a critical facility environment. All candidates should be willing to work both independently and managing their teams effectively. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful. In addition to strong knowledge in Data Centers, hardware and network repair, candidates will create documentation, innovate solutions, participate in site-level project work, and fix complex problems within the Data Center Space. This team works in an environment that operates 365/24/7. Additionally, DCM provides Production Control Management – operating the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), generating preventive maintenance schedules and work orders for critical facilities technicians, maintains files and reports, and performs data entry and documentation. This role reports to the Director of Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as the secondary point of contact for this project, available 24/7/365, who supports/assists the Project Manager (PM) in achieving contract work performance objectives. In the absence of the PM, serves as the EMCOR Government Services (EGS) on-site authority for all project-related issues.
- Responsible for the work and production control management processes and functions, including work reception, prioritization, planning, coordination, scheduling, assignment, tracking, completion, data entry and other administrative actions.
- Prepares written schedules by generating preventive maintenance work orders, and sorts/distributes work tickets as required.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance actions.
- Perform administrative quality control checks, maintain, and file completed work orders.
- Manage daily office functions such as Purchase Orders, Task Orders, Invoicing, and Employee Administrative Functions such as payroll preparation.
- Possess technical expertise of data center infrastructure components like power systems, cooling systems, network infrastructure, and security measures.
- Monitor project progress against established milestones and address any deviations.
- Promote and assist with the development of an organization with a customer service orientation to internal stakeholders on both the data center and government operations sides of the business, cultivating a project delivery strategy and working to align extended stakeholders around the nuances of that strategy.
- Assist with the oversight and management of IDIQ activities; drive continuous improvements through control implementation for identified risks.
- Assist with the Oversight of predictive / preventive maintenance and repairs for electrical and mechanical systems for mission-critical, 24/7/365 data center environment.
- Provide management assistance of site operations, work schedules, and subcontractors and ensure work meets service demands, objectives, and quality and safety requirements.
- Responsible for overseeing project staffing, performance evaluations, and disciplinary issues.
- Assist and support PM in regular meetings with Client Facility Manager(s) and customers to discuss operations, performance, project work, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and submit status and performance reports and evaluations.
- Coordinate activities such as utility outages or other work that may disrupt the site with customer facility management, to include submission of maintenance outage requests.
- Support oversight of project work for repair and replacement of equipment and systems, including budget, estimate preparation, and ensure project meets schedule, budget, and scope requirements.
