About the role

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill this amazing role on for the upcoming LONG-RANGE ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITY (LEIA).

Peraton will deliver a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) capabilities to support SOCPAC missions and it’s AORs. Capabilities include using air, maritime, ground, and space-based platforms to meet mission needs in an ever-changing threat and technology landscape. Our team will provide support to continuously evolve and leverage the latest technologies and best practices to rapidly refresh capabilities and ensure platforms and intelligence operations are optimized to support the SOCPAC missions.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Modeling Engineer to support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) in their efforts to innovate and advance the capabilities of their Multidomain Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) fleet. The ideal candidate will utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to design, develop, and maintain complex system models that drive the next generation of ISR capabilities across multiple domains—air, sea, land, space, and cyber. This role is crucial to ensuring that ISR platforms and systems are seamlessly integrated, scalable, and optimized for diverse operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed systems models using MBSE tools (e.g., Cameo, MagicDraw) to support the ISR fleet’s lifecycle from concept through deployment.
  • Implement multidomain ISR architectures integrating land, air, maritime, space, and cyber intelligence platforms.
  • Collaborate with SOCPAC stakeholders, including special operations forces, to translate mission objectives and operational needs into technical requirements.
  • Ensure ISR platform requirements are documented, tracked, and validated against SOCPAC’s evolving operational goals.
  • Develop and refine system architectures that incorporate multidomain platforms, enabling seamless data sharing, processing, and decision-making.
  • Ensure ISR systems are interoperable across U.S. military forces, allied forces, and partner nations.
  • Use MBSE tools to simulate ISR operations and assess performance, scalability, and integration across multidomain environments.
  • Validate system models through scenario-based testing to ensure alignment with operational realities and mission readiness.
  • Drive innovation in ISR technologies and processes, identifying new modeling techniques and tools to enhance SOCPAC's ISR capabilities.
  • Recommend improvements to ISR platforms, integrating AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and ISR domain experts, to ensure a unified approach to system design and development.
  • Liaise with external vendors, allied nations, and partner agencies to ensure interoperability of SOCPAC’s ISR systems with coalition forces.
  • Develop and present technical documentation, system architectures, and reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparent communication of progress and challenges.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers on MBSE practices and tools.
  • Apply engineering principles such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mechanics to the design and development of micro-fluidic and hydraulic components.
  • Lead the execution and implementation of research projects, applying research theories and models to experiment design. Monitor industry trends and attend key trade events to stay updated with the latest technological advancements.
