Teen Staff- Summer Nights (Seasonal, Part-Time)

Under the direction of the Youth & Teen Coordinator, the Teen Staff will assist with planning and implementing a safe, inclusive, active teen program which encompasses creative and physical activities. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Model relationship building skills in all interactions and ability to work with diver populations, especially teens. 
• Provide supervision of teens enrolled and participating in the teen center and its activities including Aquatics, Wellness, Indoor Sports, groups/clubs, and games
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with outside community organizations like The United Way of North Central MA and the City of Fitchburg, as well as other YMCA staff
• Assist the Teen & Youth Coordinator with creating and scheduling the classes, activities, or events 
• Assist with recruitment and supervision of volunteers as needed, including coaches and referees for Youth Basketball/Volleyball League. May also service as a coach or referee for teen sports events. 
• Responsible for working knowledge and adherence of all YMCA of Central MA policies and procedures 
• Attend department staff meetings 
• All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
• One to two years of related experience preferred 
• Minimum age of 18 years old 
• Excellent communication skills to diverse groups of individuals 

Schedule: 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm Monday through Friday 

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $15.00 per hour. Plus, access to facilities to all YMCA employees, Employee Assistance Program, and Sick Leave
