Purpose

 To support the development and implementation of a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all facilities at The University of Texas at Austin. This program will include regular inspections, maintenance, and repair of equipment and facilities to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity.

Responsibilities

  • Working in a Work Order Management System to keep operations running.

  • Assisting staff as they plan and test new work order management system.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree - field related to work to be performed. Three (3) years, coordinating/administrating a program. Strong computer skills. Working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Have knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System. Ability to work as a strong team member with excellent customer-oriented communication skills. Previous administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Four years experience in providing field and technical support, construction-related experience providing working knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and interrelated building systems. Five years or more of experience coordinating or administering procurement, and budget programs for a small organization. Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field. Experience with UT systems, programs, and software such as FAMIS, DEFINE, WORKQS, WORQSpace, and Tableau. Experience in general building maintenance, operations, procurement, contracts, building systems, and construction processes.

Hourly Rate

$24.00

Working Conditions

  • Attire: Business Casual

  • Standard Office Environment, Use of manual dexterity, Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation, Lifting, pushing, or pulling, Standing

Work Shift

  • Hours per week - 40

  • Work hours are from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

  • Possible occasional work from home after the training period. Hours can be adjusted based on team needs after the training period.
