About this opportunity

You will join BCCM Risk Reduction Plan, which is a team located within the largest business area in Nordea: Group Business Support (GBS). GBS drives optimisation of our operational efficiencies, letting the other Business Areas focus on what they do best, to serve our customers and drive income growth initiatives.

 

As a Team Leader, you will step into a central and critical role, leading the team that is focused on Service Transition Management and Project Management related tasks. This is where your expertise is needed to contribute with a solid and strategic risk management, which will directly impact on the financial performance, efficiency, competitiveness and overall success of Nordea. As a Team Leader you make and implement operational plans and set concrete targets for the team. As well as implement and optimise processes, products and concepts and facilitate continuous improvements. You provide timely and well-documented feedback, coach, assess performance, hold direct reports accountable for their performance, communicate and show direction to enable direct reports to cooperate and execute.

The role is based in Helsinki; Copenhagen; Stockholm.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• Proficient in non-financial Risk Management, regulation, and guidelines in the banking sector
• Have superior communication skills, and expertise in managing a large variety of stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in leading projects, navigating through complexity and ensuring timely and precise delivery
• Have a strong risk and compliance mindset, coupled with a proactive approach in communicating clear and qualified requests to stakeholders
• Expertise in delivering a strong business result and driving the functional excellence
• A structured mind-set, being able to see the big picture, as well as a strong attention to relevant details
• Being able to lead Service Transition Management and a team of project managers and business analysts
• Flexibility and ability to work within dynamic environment

Your experience and background: 

• Experience from leading projects and preferably line leadership experience
• Familiarity with business continuity and crisis management is considered advantageous
• Proficiency in navigating through complexity, managing different kinds of stakeholder and strong communication skills  
• You take responsibility for delivering a strong business result and driving the functional excellence
• Change Management experience managing the handover of project deliveries to the line organisations
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and collaborative skills
• Willingness to expand knowledge and develop own leadership competencies
• Relevant Master’s or Bachelor's Degree
• Strong communication skills and are fluent in written and spoken English.
