An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Manager in one of Nottinghamshire County Council’s mainstream children’s homes. Are you the dedicated, professional with a proven track record in residential childcare and leadership that we are looking for?

West View Children’s home provides support and care for the most vulnerable children. The home is a mainstream provision for three children and young people between the ages of 10 – 18 years old on admission, both male and female all of whom demonstrate complex and often highly challenging behaviours.

The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:

• A good knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations and the Ofsted inspection framework.
• An understanding and ability to prioritise safeguarding children and young people and ensure positive outcomes through creative and innovative methods and solutions.
• A robust understanding of the complex challenges relating to leadership and management in a residential childcare setting.
• A ‘can do’, solution focussed, attitude that leads and inspires the team.
• An ability to understand and foster an inclusive and positive team culture.
• A robust understanding of a strength-based, individualised, and proactive leadership approach underpinned by collaboration and effective assessment and risk management.
• Have a strong focus on team performance and development using supervision and performance management to support staff and identify improvements.
• Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, staff, and children in often challenging situations.
• An adaptable and flexible mindset to navigate the dynamic and ever-changing nature of residential care.
