POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Intern is “hosted” by the Quality Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities, our technical center or headquarters. This is a 12-week summer internship. Please note that we do not provide housing.
This Internship begins on May 19, 2025. Intern will report to the Matteson, IL Plant.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company’s staff, employees, and business relationships.
Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Plant Quality or Engineering team with:
•Equipment analysis
•New installations and facility revisions
•Developing drawings and specifications for equipment layout
•Investigation of new plant engineering processes and techniques
•Administrative activities
•Special projects as identified by the Quality Team
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
- Must have at least one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and/or Outlook)
- Must be willing to work up to 40 hours per week, up to 12 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chemistry, or Chemistry related majors
- Sophomore, junior or senior class standing
- Previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field
- Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
- Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division
- Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
