Description Overview
We are looking for an Operations Manager to come join the Perrigo team at our facilities in Bronx, New York. The starting annual base salary for this role is $120,000 USD and has lots of great benefits!
- Lead and manage the production of the site, ensuring a safe work environment and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Supervise production teams to meet or exceed customer expectations and company objectives.
- Provide high-quality support across the organization by building strong relationships and knowledge of Perrigo policies, procedures, and resources.
Team Development:
- Create a culture of trust through honest feedback and coaching.
- Develop staff through mentoring and individual development plans.
- Drive employee engagement, retention, and recognition through strategic initiatives.
Scope of the Role
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute strategic direction to meet or exceed plant KPIs: Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness (Delivery), and Cost.
- Participate in capacity and budget planning processes.
Safety and Quality Management:
- Lead safety culture improvements through direct involvement in safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct proactive audits for product quality and implement GMP requirements.
Operational Efficiency:
- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and performance.
- Address downtime issues and improve change-over performance.
- Monitor costs and productivity to ensure production goals are met.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner cross-functionally to improve product cost, design, and service levels.
- Participate in creating bench strength through succession planning.
- Support PWS (Perrigo Work System) initiatives and meet program development targets.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of operations management or comparable leadership experience in a production environment.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Experience with ERP and shop floor control systems, preferably in an FDA/GMP regulated environment.
- Lean Champion with experience in Lean methodologies, production planning, and MRP systems.
- Proven experience in change management and continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
