Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton is hiring a cybersecurity engineer to support work in Huntsville, AL. The contractor will be expected to work with the government customer Program Management Office, Aircraft Survivability Equipment. At a minimum, this individual will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Creation and maintenance of eMASS packages using vendor and organization provided information
• Assist and advise product offices on DoDRMF continuous monitoring requirements
• . Using DoD Risk Management Framework, candidates must be able to determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; assist PM ASE SME’s in identifying integration issues andpreparing cost estimates. creating, completing, and completing documentation and artifacts in support of continuous monitoring activities.
• Verifies security systems by by using DoD approved technologies such as STIG/ACAS/Static Code Analysis. Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting table-top exercises.
• Responsible for the review of a DoD IA architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments. Ensures that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 9 years with HS

 

Candidate must have active SECRET clearance.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
