Our Clinical Supply Operations is responsible for the supply of drug product administered to patients in clinical studies worldwide. Role & Responsibilities:
The Clinical Logistics Specialist is a role on the Clinical Supply Chain Operations team, encompassing both inbound and outbound Transportation as well as Site Import Administration.
Coordinate both domestic and international, ambient and temperature controlled shipments. Ensure that both inbound and outbound shipments are appropriately packed and passive/active shippers selected and preconditioned as necessary.
Prepare accurate transportation and customs documentation by collecting and compiling relevant shipment details and updating the documentation as necessary until the time of the shipment. Collaborate with all stakeholders i.e. Requestor, Carrier, Receiving Site and Broker and ensure that documentation is shared with all stakeholders in a timely manner.
Verify the accuracy of the product as well as apply accurate product and address labels. Collaborate with the freight forwarder/carrier to track the shipment in transit and ensure the delivery of the right product to the right location at the right time and in the right condition. Provide periodic status updates to all stakeholders.
Communicate with customs brokers to ensure that accurate information, documentation and import instructions are provided to seamlessly clear BMS imports in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
Provide clearance information to the designated brokers, FDA and other government agencies. Relay FDA release information to operations to ensure that inbound shipments are quarantined prior to FDA release.
Maintain the import log for all entries and perform audit of entry documents. Ensure that the site import process is always maintained in an audit ready state.
Assist in researching and resolving logistics issues as they arise as well as coordinate the logistics for select inbound or drop-ship CSO/PD international shipments.<
