About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Line Cook to join our Operations team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes that exceed guest expectations. This is an hourly, full-time position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food and culinary excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the kitchen leadership.
- Ensure all dishes are presented in an appealing and consistent manner.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients before each shift.
- Follow and enforce all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation policies in the kitchen.
- Assist in inventory management, including proper storage and rotation of stock.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils after use.
- Contribute ideas for menu development and improvements.
- Respond to guest preferences and dietary restrictions in a professional and accommodating manner.
- Collaborate with the rest of the kitchen staff to produce high-quality meals during service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under tight time constraints.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
- Passion for food, cooking, and delivering a great guest experience.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
