As a Sr. Engineer, Vehicle Integration, you will solve a variety of issues within Vehicle Engineering, where multiple competing interests exist.  Bringing knowledge that spans the full breath of mechanical disciplines, you will drive optimal resolution of engineering issues from overall concept development through manufacturing.   

The Role:

• Lead the integration of attribute requirements by understanding customer needs and performing competitive vehicle benchmarking
• Lead cross functional issue reporting and resolution to drive attribute performance from requirements all the way through to test and SOP
• Identify vehicle and system level issues early and pull in the right experts to resolve them
• Plan and execute drive events to demonstrate attribute progress in prototype and production vehicles
• Provide leadership to the engineering team(s) in solving highly complex problems, following the solutions all the way through to implementation to ensure that issues are truly closed
• Perform high-level concept development to meet system and vehicle requirements while understanding how to optimize these systems for function, efficiency, cost, weight, ergonomics, manufacturability and serviceability
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple competing work assignments from engineering, studio, and program. 

Qualifications:

• BS or MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Conversant with current and forthcoming vehicle architectures and system technologies
• 5+ years of experience at an automotive OEM or supplier
• Passion for electric vehicles and energy efficiency
• Motivation, flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with tight timing constraints
• Proven problem solving and communication skills, excellent numeracy and spatial awareness
• Assertive, self-motivated, demonstrates ownership of issues, and can work with minimal direction

Advantageous:

• Experience translating customer needs and pain points into attribute requirements

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.   Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.  (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)Base Pay Range (Annual)$133,400—$183,480 USD
