THE ROLE 

As a Product Cybersecurity Intern, your responsibility will be to work alongside Oshkosh Product Cybersecurity Engineers, assisting with projects to gain knowledge and experience in various aspects of Secure-by-Design principles. You will support and assist the engineering team by developing Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments (TARAs), Cyber monitoring, Vulnerability Scanning, and supporting various project cyber reviews and work products. This role will work on a variety of key projects and initiatives ranging from simple tasks to more complex analytical projects. 

 

YOUR IMPACT 

As a Product Cybersecurity Intern your experience may include: 

  • Support Product Cybersecurity Engineers in the security design and requirements development of vehicle/system architectures 

  • Leverage Cyber software tools (Itemis Secure and/or Cybellum) in creating digital twins of the project, monitoring for vulnerabilities, report generation, and compliance to ISO Standards within a cybersecurity management system (CSMS) 

  • Generate Software bill of materials (SBOM) and/or work with suppliers for SBOM gatherings 

  • Review supplier and associated components for quality conscious design, i.e., adherence to applicable Cybersecurity Standards, component data & artifacts, supplier CSMS  

  • Consult with suppliers and internal departments to develop practical solutions for implementation  

  • Prepare and maintain cybersecurity documentation necessary to support the configuration of specific vehicles 

  • Participate in peer reviews and other engineering activities
