Salary: If selected as a successful candidate, the following fixed compensation package is offered: an annualized salary of $87,600.00, a potential 10% annual bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package including vacation, sick leave, health, dental, vision, and 401(k)

About the opportunity: 

The AstraZeneca R&D Data Sciences & AI Graduate Program is a two-year opportunity for graduates eager to build a career at the intersection of data science, AI, and drug discovery. Through three eight-month placements, you'll gain hands-on experience applying data science and AI techniques across various R&D functions and therapy areas. You’ll develop technical skills in data analysis, machine learning, and AI, while expanding your scientific knowledge and receiving mentorship from industry experts. This is your chance to shape the future of drug development with cutting-edge technologies. 

Program Details 

• Start Date: September 2026 

• Duration: 2 years 

• Structure: Three individual eight-month placements 

• Focus Areas: Machine learning, AI, and data science in drug discovery and development. 

• Location: You will be based in Gaithersburg, MD throughout the 2-year duration. No international placements are offered.
