About the role

WHY OATLY?

Across the world people’s consumption habits and diets are evolving to be more plant-based. Enter Oatly, the #1 oat based dairy alternative producer in the world with products spanning multiple categories.

Our sole purpose as a company is to make it easy for people to turn what they eat and drink into personal moments of healthy joy without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process.

Sustainability, nutritional health, and trust are at the heart of what we do. We are building a culture that constantly upgrades each other so we can upgrade the planet. This is a company that shows great respect and a fearless approach to make positive change. Does this feel exciting? Well, this is where you come in.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

We are looking for a data-loving and analytical mind to join our Global Rewards team who also loves being directly in the business, working with leaders.

Global Rewards at Oatly is responsible for developing the rewards strategy and creating reward structures that help Oatly attract, retain, and motivate the best talent. The role involves working closely with leaders across the People team, the business, Finance, and external vendors to deliver solutions that align with our business and people strategy.

We are a very fast-paced environment with an ongoing transformation as we evolve into our next phase of maturity. This means we have the perfect opportunity to design and embed a Global Rewards strategy that truly supports our organization, and this role is key to framing that. You won’t just be running processes; you’ll be helping us build the framework.

Here’s the main elements of the role:
  • Maintain and update Oatly’s global job architecture using the job evaluation frameworks, such as Mercer’s IPE.

  • Develop and maintain country-specific benchmarks based on reward principles while adhering to local needs.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leaders and line managers. You will guide them on rewards policies, position grading, salary benchmarking, compensation recommendations for new hires, and promotions.

  • Own and manage the Annual Salary Review process for the organization.

  • Partner with Finance counterparts on budget proposals and approvals.

  • You don't just send spreadsheets; you tell the story behind the numbers. You extract key narratives, spot trends, and flag exactly where we need intervention.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve Oatly’s Total Reward offerings.

  • Lead various projects within the Rewards space, from process improvements to new rollouts.

You will report to the Reward Director and work side-by-side with a Reward Specialist, our Global Mobility Specialist, and our payroll team. It’s a global role with a global outlook and local relevance, meaning you’ll be collaborating closely with our markets across the world to ensure our reward solutions meet their needs whilst driving consistency and simplicity globally.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

You naturally build relationships and engage across all levels of the organization. You know your stuff, but you’re always keen to adapt solutions to our unique context rather than following a textbook. You are highly collaborative and energized by the challenge of building new things that benefit our people. Crucially, you are comfortable with the ambiguity and chaos that comes with maturing a fast-paced global company.

Your communication style must be confident, clear, and convincing. You influence people not through corporate speak, but with deep knowledge, listening to their needs, and a crystal-clear thought process.

Other key competencies and experiences:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of direct experience in Global Rewards.

  • You are comfortable with complex data sets and pay extreme attention to detail, taking pride in the quality of the work you deliver.

  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure to deliver with speed and impact.

  • Excellent comfort with MS Office and especially strong within Excel and PowerPoint, you know how to make your work easier!

  • Understanding of key European regulations impacting rewards, such as experience working on projects like the Pay Transparency Directive
