Reports to: Director, QA and Release Management Engineering
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who has hands-on experience in manual testing. The candidate will be working as a part of a large multi-site team.
Responsibilities:
- Test, validate, and sign off on new CAD/PDM/PLM functionality for a continuous deployed CAD
- product
- Develop, refine, and document release process
- Write test cases and algorithms for automated regression tests
- Provide technical leadership in areas of CAD, CAM, FEA, PDM, and PLM
Mandatory skills / experience
- 3+ years of manual testing experience
- 2-5 years’ experience using professional CAD/CAM/FEA/PDM/PLM systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Understanding of web applications and corresponding technologies
- Strong debugging and investigative skills to perform root cause analysis
- Strong English communication and reporting skills (verbal and written) with an ability to work collaboratively with teams from multiple time zones
- Ability to exercise good judgment when requirements and specifications are in flux
- Ability to be the voice of the customer and contribute to product direction
Preferred skills / experience:
- Professional mechanical design experience
- Ability to read source code and triage stack traces in multiple programming languages
- Familiarity with CI/CD deployments
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and standard network protocols
- Strong understanding of asynchronous technology
- Experience working with geometric modeling kernels and variational solvers
- Experience using Github, Jira, and Zephyr test management
PTC carefully considers a wide variety of factors when determining compensation. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $115,000. The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
