How can you make a difference? 

Under the supervision of the WASH Officer, work with national consultant to develop the standardization of Water Restoration and Catchment Management through Nature Based Solutions.

WORK ASSIGMENT:

1. Standardization of the implementation of water restoration and catchment management through nature-based solutions

Facilitate standardizing of:

  1. Community Orientation on Water Catchment Management
  2. Community Training on Nature Based Solutions for Water Catchment Management

Through

  • Consultations
  • Desk reviews
  • Documentation
  • Validation (workshop)

2. Develop mapping software of water restoration and catchment management through nature-based solutions; Facilitate standardizing of:

  1. Location Selection, Designing and Costing of Nature-based Solutions / Infrastructure for water conservation in catchments 
  2. Monitoring the Implementation of Nature-based Solutions / Infrastructure

Through

  • Consultations
  • Desk reviews
  • Documentation
  • Validation (workshop)

3. Develop training materials and conduct:

  1. Community ToT training on nature-based solutions.
  2. School Orientation on Water Conservation.

4. Develop the standardized checklist and tools and facilitate standardizing of "Environmental and Social Impact Assessment related to Water Catchment Management through Nature-based solutions" through consultations, desk reviews, documentation and validation (workshop)

5.  Develop animation video on water conservation through nature-based solutions to be play in the school and community

6.  Facilitate national workshop validation for the guideline, tools and materials that been developed to the government counterparts and identified WASH stakeholders.

 

DELIVERABLES:

1. Submitting the first drafts of (in Word format)

         a). Manual for Community Orientation on Water Catchment Management developed.

         b). Manual for Community Training on Nature Based Solutions for Water Catchment Management developed.

2.1. Submitting the first drafts of (in Word format)

  • Manual for Location Selection, Designing and Costing of Nature-based Solutions / Infrastructure for water conservation in catchments developed.
  • Develop templates for design and cost estimate (BoQs) for the NBS constructions.
  • Data collection and evaluation templates developed.
  • Mapping and monitoring protocols developed.
  • Templates for Monitoring the Implementation of Nature-based Solutions / Infrastructure developed.

2.1. Catchment management mapping software are developed.

3. Submitting the first drafts of (in Word format):

  • ToT training materials for the community on water restoration and catchment management through nature-based solutions is developed.
  • Manual for School orientation on water restoration and water conservation developed.
  • Community and school participant selection tool developed.
  • GEDSI Analysis framework develop

4. Submitting the first drafts of (in Word format)

  • Template / Check list for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment related to Water Catchment Management through Nature-based solutions developed.

5. Submitting the first drafts of (in video format)

  • Animation video of water restoration and catchment management through nature-based solutions is developed.

6. Submitting the reports of (in Word format)

  • Validation Workshop first phase.
  • Validation workshop second phase.
  • Final product developed and shared.

TOR

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… 

  • Master's degree in Hydrology/Civil Engineering/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Science/Water resource management/Architecture.

  • Minimum 5 years of experiences in research or community-based projects or environm
