About the role

A. Duties & Responsibilities
1. Ensure that broadcasts coming from customers are accurate compared to InSequence MES, PLEX etc.
2. Inform and advise the PE Manager/MES Team of incapable processes, products or communication issues as they arise from customers or with MES, Broadcasts or Sequencing errors
3. Participate in continuous improvements activities related to information/broadcast, streamlining process steps, and process improvements/capabilities - focusing on possible labor reductions
4. Improve part quality by developing and implementing methods and processes of error-proofing to prevent manufacturing defects, prevent use of incorrect/obsolete components, and ensuring correct part substitution processes
5. Develop and implement processes and methods for efficient ECRs, PERs, test parts (DV/PV etc.) within MES ensuring the Company meets customer demands
6. Work cross functionally with internal departments (i.e. PE, IT, Quality, Logistics, Production, Accounting) to ensure that all ECR and PER targets are communicated, innated and successfully launched
7. Utilize problem solving methods related to non-conformances, MES related problems, failures related to ECRs or broadcast errors
8. Engage and support other departments such as Logistics and Accounting when issues related to BOMs, BOLs, serial numbers, VIN numbers arise
9. Support Manufacturing Team by maintaining operator instructions, training assembly personnel, communication of changes and updates – related to MES (InSequence) such as data handling, HMI screen changes, or layout changes
10. Actively participate in discussions related to DFA/DFM, plant layout, new program launches, new production equipment APQP, with regard to MES impact and contributions.
11. Develop and maintain plans/schedules for preventative and predictive maintenance of MES process equipment and potential software, including version changes and upgrades.
12. Other duties as assigned.

B. Minimum Qualifications
1. Engineering/Technical Degree preferred; equivalent work experience
2. Minimum of 2 years of working experience in an assembly manufacturing facility
3. MES knowledge and operation required
4. ERP system experience preferred

C. Required Skills
1. Problem solving and analytical skills
2. Ability to communicate across and within departments
3. Excellent knowledge in database software
4. Understanding of fixturing and assembly machinery
5. Understanding of assembly processes and methods
6. Complete understanding of Key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to job function
7. Complete understanding of related forms
