TITLE: Principal Software Engineer
LOCATION:Wilmington, DE (remote position)
DUTIES: Analyze, design, develop, and install software solutions. Provide technical oversight throughout project lifecycle. Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements. Drive analysis and technical solution design. Lead technical direction by following documented development methodology. Ensure unit testing regimen delivers code per designs. Collaborate internally to integrate applications and hardware Create and update documentation to confirm architecture, user, and design including as‐deployed system documentation. Ensure development teams follow applicable standards for methodologies, integration, tools, and testing. Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Follow information security standards. Review modules for quality assurance (QA) and check compliance with application architecture standards and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Provide ongoing application maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field followed by seven (7) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience as a Principal Software Engineer or any occupation related to Software Development. Must have seven (7) years of experience: (1) Designing Enterprise Asset Management and Reliability solutions using Enterprise Asset Management, Asset Management Functional Processes, Reliability Center Maintenance Management Processes, and Business Analysis; and (2) Developing and designing all modules and functions of IBM Maximo 7.x and higher, including the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). Must also have three (3) years of experience: (3) Articulating complex architectures in completeness and detail that demonstrate a mastery of the topic specifically related to Enterprise Asset Management and Reliability Centered Maintenance software systems; (4) Developing and designing algorithms, data structures, and design patterns using Java, PL/SQL, MS SQL, SQL, JavaScript, and Command Scripting; and (5) Designing, developing, and supporting BIRT / Tableau Reporting and Analytics applications, including design, development, usability, technical support, functional support, and hardware / software deployment. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Remote work permitted in accordance with company policy. All positions require pre-employment background check verification and a pre-employment drug screen. Up to 20% travel to various Amtrak locations in Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; and New York, NY required.
SALARY: $146,078 to $179,300 per year
